In the spring of 2024 we acquired Really Good Emails to bridge the gap between inspiration and creation in the email world. Today, we’re getting closer to making that gap disappear. We’re taking the email and landing page builder at beefree.io—used by over 40,000 people a month—and moving it under the Really Good Emails umbrella. Say hello to RGE Studio!
This is very intentional. With RGE Studio, we want to deliver a single, unified tool where you can confidently go from “I like that design” to shipping an email, or a series of emails, that checks all the boxes.
RGE Studio is the place where you can not only build efficiently, but also present and defend what you built, without switching tools, rebuilding from scratch, or spending political capital justifying their decisions.
Why now
A fundamental reason behind our acquisition of RGE was to be able to listen more closely to the email community. We did that: interviews, surveys, and lots of casual, inspiring conversations at the many events we’ve hosted, starting with Unspam.
We doubled down on the learning in the last few months, talking to email professionals across roles, companies, and team sizes: solo operators, agency leads, lifecycle specialists in growth teams, CRM managers at large enterprises.
The same tension came up in many of those conversations.
Speed and confidence are in conflict, with AI adding fuel to the fire. Shipping fast means skipping validation, which introduces obvious risks. Shipping confidently means slowing down for approvals, justifications, and tool-hopping. People aren't blocked by a lack of skill or inspiration. They're blocked by situational doubt: How can I quickly defend the choices I made? Will approval take another long round of Slack threads? How do I easily show accessibility compliance?
The tools we built under the RGE and Beefree umbrellas helped, but not enough. Having two separate environments was not ideal. The gap between making design decisions and turning them into validated production steps remained, and people bridged it manually with screenshots, Miro boards, PowerPoint decks, and Zoom calls.
What RGE Studio is
RGE Studio is designed to fix this. Inspiration and creation are no longer separate steps: the world's most trusted, manually curated gallery of real email examples becomes directly integrated with a professional creation environment. The design patterns you find on RGE are the same ones you build from in Studio. The approvals, the brand constraints, the references your stakeholders can actually react to: all in one place.
This is not a rebrand for its own sake. We are merging the two products into a unified user experience that addresses the jobs email professionals told us over and over that they’re struggling to get done today: finding a proven pattern quickly when you're under a tight deadline, adapting inspiration to your brand constraints without losing time, and getting alignment without having to justify every decision from scratch, all the time.
When AI comes into the picture, it’s not to deliver a draft that doesn’t actually fit and introduce risks you can’t afford. It’s to assist you in getting those jobs done. You know where you want to go, and a smart assistant helps you get there faster.
What changes, starting now
The most immediate change: Beefree App and RGE will share a single login and signup. One account, one home. From beefree.io, you'll land in RGE Studio. From reallygoodemails.com, you'll land in the RGE gallery, with a clear path to create from what you find there.
The customer journey will continue to get better, many more product improvements are coming, and we'll keep you updated as we ship them. We're treating this as an iterative build, not a big-bang launch. We're building this iteratively by design, shipping the unified experience now, with more capabilities coming as we go.

Beefree, RGE, and the future
A quick brand recap. Beefree is the company: we’ve been around for over 10 years and we’re as excited as ever to build tools that are truly useful to marketers, especially email professionals.
Under Beefree, there are now two products: Really Good Emails—home to the RGE Gallery and RGE Studio—and Beefree SDK, the embeddable content creation platform for software builders. If you use Beefree SDK, nothing changes for you today.
Also not changing is the spirit of Really Good Emails: witty, human, rooted in community. In fact, we are doubling down on it. The RGE community is whom RGE Studio is for. Their trust is what gives Studio its foundation. We intend to earn more of it.
Two years ago, I said that it made perfect sense to shorten the distance between our email creation tools and the community of professionals that use them. With RGE Studio, we're now increasing our bet on that. Give us a bit of time to execute, and keep us honest as we do.
